Documents on Sree Devi Vilas, Tharakad, Palakkad

The document placed below is an old handwritten draft application in English dated 06-12-1927 addressed to the The Chairman, Municipal Council, Palghat by Ottoor (Ottur) Sree Devi Amma in Tharakkad Street, Sekharipuram Ward.  A rough sketch of the land and plot (1342 to 6) may also be seen in the sketch. The rought plan of the proposed house is given below this. This is how the original Sree Devi Vilas in Tharakad probably appeared. The Malayalam hand written lines on the right side of the document states that due to delay in obtaining Stamp paper the original application was sent only on 01-02-1928.  

The second type written/printed document in English is an approval letter dated 16-02-1928 from the Chairman, Municipal Council, Palghat granting permission for the said construction

DEATH OF SHRI. K. SREEDHARAN UNNI S/O Late Ottur Balakrishna Menon

Shri K. Sreedharan Unni, S/o Late Ottur Balakrishna Menon and  Late Kenattinkara Ammalu Kave passed away on July 11, 2014 at Kollam (Kerala).  Funeral was held at Trichur Kerala.

A new page on Ottur Madhavi Amma and her descendants has been added today (April 25, 2013).   However the lineage of Ottur Madhavi Amma and her connection with Ottur Kunji Amma could not be ascertained.  Any information on this would be of immense use in expanding the Ottur Family Tree.  Members whose name figure in the page are requested to check their name spellings and send in corrections if any.  Any addition to the existing members may also be communicated.
