Starting today it is proposed to publish through these posts old documents which are related to Ottur Family Geneaology.  These documents will not be in chronological order and will be published as when they are available.  Today's document which is given below is an old marriage invitation of Ottur Sreedevi Kutty (alias Ammini chechi) daughter of Dr. K.S. Unni and Ottur Kamalakshi Amma. Both Ottur Sreedevi Kutty and her husband P. Ramachandra Menon are no longer living.

The enclosed document dated 19-08-1932 is a notice issued by the Chairman, Palakkad Municipal Council to Ottur Sreedevi Amma.  According to the notice it was observed that an area of 239Sq.ft of land belonging to the Palakkad Municipality which was being used as public passage way has been encroached, fenced and included in the land belonging to Sreedevi Amma.  The notice directs that the encroachment be removed within a week of receipt of the notice

The document placed below is a hand written document dated 20-12-1922 signed by one Swaminathan Sastrigal (son of Subramania Sastrigal) towards sale of 2 cents of land in survery no.32 block 1344/1 in Tharakad Gramam, Puthur Amson at a sale price of Rs.50/- to Kottekad Ottur Sree Devi Amma, resident of Tharakad, Puthur Amsom, Palakkad Taluk.  The document also states that the seller has agreed to register the land in the name of the buyer.  The witness who has signed the document is one J.S. Ananthasubramanian s/o Subramania Iyer.  The old India Postage and Revenue stamp of 1 Anna may be seen in the document.

The document below is an invitation for the wedding of Shri Ottur Balakrishna Menon (Valliyamama) with Kenattinkara Ammalukutty Kavu.  The wedding was held in the Malayalam month of Edavam 9, 1098 that is corresponding to the English date of 23-05-1923.
